Big Hit Music, its agency, said in an official position on the 12th, “Jin will join the army as an active-duty soldier to fulfill his military duty.” As already announced, there is no separate official event on the day of admission to the boot camp, he said.
An official also said, “The site is expected to be very crowded with soldiers, family members, and some fans on the day. “I ask the reporters to refrain from visiting the site,” he said.
According to the agency, Jin will enter the precincts of the boot camp without a separate greeting for the media or fans to prevent safety accidents caused by on-site congestion. Therefore, there is no separate waiting space for reporters.
Finally, the agency added, “We will provide continuous support and efforts until the day Jin fulfills his military service obligations and returns healthy.”
BTS Jin, the eldest brother, was born in 1992, and will be the first member to join the army. He will enter a boot camp in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, on the 13th and will be deployed after five weeks of basic military training.
