On the first day of the new year,
I feel refreshed when I welcome the new year with the sunrise, wishing for a year of hope and wish.
I recommend some famous sunrise spots in Korea, so should we take a look?
[Namhansanseong mountain]
Namhansanseong mountain is a place with a wide view, so you can see all of the center of Seoul on a day with good visibility.
On the west gate of Namhansanseong mountain, Yeonjubong Ongseong Fortress on the right side has a great sunrise.
The sunrise from here is really spectacular. If you live in Seoul, you don’t have to go far, it’s close and nice to come here.
[Yeong Geum Jeong Pavilion]
Sokcho Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion was named Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion because the sound of the stone hill was said to be similar to the sound of a geomungo.
It is a famous place for sunrise so that sunrise events are held every New Year. The sunrise is the view of Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion, and it is great to see with the sunrise.
[Ho Mi Got]
Homigot in Pohang is a point of land that protrudes into the East Sea of Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Located in the east of Daebo-myeon, Pohang, it is home to Homigot Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Korea.
And Homigot is famous for that palm-and-arm statue that anyone can remember the most.
The sunrise at Homigot Square is like a scene from a movie.
It’s a perfect direction to make a wish for the year.
[Hyang Iram Hermitage]
If there is a famous sunrise spot in Yeosu, it is Hyangiram Hermitage.
There are eight large mountains in Dolsan Island in Yeosu.
The eight big mountains are Cheonwangsan Mountain, Doosan Mountain, Daemisan Mountain, Somisan Mountain, Cheonmasan Mountain, Sujuksan Mountain, Bonghwangsan Mountain, and Geumosan Mountain, and the mountain with Hyangiram Hermitage is Geumosan Mountain. There are a lot of people because it’s very famous as a place to wish for the fulfillment of wishes while watching the sunrise.
Still, there is enough parking space, so even if it’s a little far, you’ll be very proud.
[Chuam Beach]
It is Chuam Beach, a famous sunrise spot in Donghae-si.
It is located on the border of Donghae-si and Samcheok-si, and is famous for the background image of the first verse of the national anthem that we saw on TV in the past.
It was also selected as one of the top 10 places to visit in Korea by the Korea Tourism Organization.
The Candle Rock is raised in a cool way, and the Brother Rock is also beautiful.
Even though the rocks are rocks, the sunrise on the sandy beach is very pretty.
